Case Study 1 – Equipment Purchased from Another Vendor
A dynamic Police Organisation in a hilly state in India, purchased Satellite Phones from another vendor. About 3 years later, they started having faults in the equipment, and contacted their original vendor for repairs. When they were repeatedly told that that the equipment was beyond repair, they contacted Northern Lights. Their equipment was repaired to their satisfaction in 3 days – and ever since, all repair requirements are directed towards Northern Lights. Multiple organisations including a Central Security Organisation and a Disaster Relief Force have similar experiences.
Case Study 2 – MNC Repair Centre Outside India – Huge Costs
A telecom equipment MNC used to send their faulty equipment to their parent organisation abroad for repairs. This was a huge burden in terms of Logistics Cost, repair Cost as well as Opportunity Cost. They contacted Northern Lights to assess if the repairs of a particular faulty module could be carried out locally. The repairs were satisfactorily completed at 10% of their erstwhile cost taking less than 1/6th the time. Ever since, their equipment is regularly coming to Northern Lights for repairs.
Case Study 3 – Third-party Equipment – Principal Unwilling or Unable to Repair
A renowned System Integrator purchased equipment from a lesser known brand outside India, to keep the overall project cost down. After some time, when repairs were needed, they realised that the equipment supplier had winded up the operations. With no option in sight, they decided to try Northern Lights. Not only did Northern Lights carry out repairs to their complete satisfaction multiple times, but it also gave the SI enough confidence to go ahead and sign AMC with the end customer.
